Hi guys! My flight will arrive on 03/08 in BKK (leaving from Europe on 02/08) and my return ticket date is on 01/09. I won’t get any trouble to enter on visa exemption right? I calculate, that’s exactly 30 days. They count from the day we arrive on Thai territory right? I just don’t wanna be annoyed by airline company.
Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about entering Thailand under the visa exemption rule, confirming a 30-day entry from their arrival date. Community members clarified that the counting starts from the day of arrival, and the user can also extend their stay by applying for an additional 30-day extension. Concerns about the airline’s check for a return ticket were raised, with mixed experiences shared about such checks.
I’ve never been asked to show a return ticket regardless of type of visa…even today I boarded a flight for Thailand. No one checked my visa and I don’t have a return ticket. I wouldn’t worry about it. Like someone else said you can extend for 30 additional days when you arrive.
Day of arrival is day one. Start counting from there, if you use a visa exempt entry you can apply once for a 30 day Extension of Stay based on tourism.
thanks for your fast answer. I know I can extend 30 days but would the airline let me board if for example my return ticket is later than the 30 days exemption limit?
