TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses plans to enter Thailand on a 45-day visa exemption and seek an extension for an additional 30 days, with an onward flight to Cambodia scheduled thereafter. Comments clarify that the 45 days is granted without a visa and point out that confirming onward travel with the airline is essential to avoid issues at immigration.

Let's get you sorted out, you're not comin' in on ANY visa if you're getting 45 days. You're showing up here and getting stamped in FREE for 45 days, that's not a tourist visa, it's not any visa, it's just a free entry stamp.

If you are flying in visa exempt, some airlines want you to have onward travel within the days you will be stamped in for (45) BUT some don't.

Check with your air carrier for their rules about visa exempt entry <- coming to thailand with NO thai visa in your passport and see what they say.

If you can check in and board your flight you won't have any issues here at passport control stamping in with your onward travel 56 days out.
