TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, if you exit Thailand before each 90-day mark, you can avoid the 90-day reporting requirement. Many expats choose to leave the country for short vacations instead of going through the reporting process, which can be relatively easy and quick. However, it's important to note that this practice can be costly and may not be necessary for everyone, as the reporting process is generally straightforward and free. Some expats have reported not being fined for not completing their reports, especially if they are careful and do not draw attention to their status.

Just don’t do the 90 reporting. The fine is so little. You are not getting blacklisted, deported or anything like this

I am here since 3 years, didn’t do a single 90 report

Anonymous participant 873 you don’t get fined. You only get fined if they notice it in a random police checkpoint or when you try to extend a visa at immigration..

Airport immigration officers do not care

After your first report you can do it online too. The inperson report isnt that hard or take long at all they have a drive thru window for it as well

the 90 day report has to be done in person after each entry back into Thailand. So for DTV holders this hardly applies unless the 180 day stamp is extended, then it is correct, the next 90 days report after an extension of stay could be done online

Officially that is true, but last week my online TM47 was approved, allthough it was the first of the stay.

Last year it was rejected.

you can report 15 days early and up to 7 days late with out a fine as well. The point i was making is that the 90 day report takes a few minutes out of your day fill out the tm47 goto the drive thru window with tm47 tm30 and your passport and takes a few moments and your done - literally sat there at the window for 5 minutes and It was done

Not all immigration offices have a drive thru.

In my case finding a place to park the car takes far more time than the reporting itself.

he totally fine for never doing 90 day report is 2000 baht so it realy isn't very clever to pay someone 4 to 8000 baht for doing it.

THIS!

3 years here already (2 years non-b, 1 year DTV) and NEVER have done any 90 reporting did not face any issues ever.

The fine is so little it’s not worth the hassle of hiring someone to do the report or go to the office by myself

it depends on what he's trying to do. If hes leaving the country just to avoid the hassle of reporting its cheaper to just pay an agent. Also your math is off. Hes on a DTV visa he needs to leave twice a year and only report twice a year. So 2,000 baht to 4,000 baht for an agent if he doesn't want to do it himself. You know some people will pay for convenience.

This is exactly what I do. Take a nice vacation out of Thailand every 90 days. I don't care how 'easy' spending a day in an Immigration office is, I would much rather spend my time and money going somewhere nice.

you can't do it online if you've never done it in person. As I said, I would rather have a nice holiday somewhere than spend any time in an immigration office, even if you only have to do that once. Life is too short for that nonsense and frankly I like having an excuse to go on vacation every couple of months.

Exit Thailand anytime up to the 90 days, and you don’t have to do the 90 days report. But if you are just going out of Thailand to avoid doing the 90 days report, it’s quite an expensive option. Doing the 90 days report is easy, and free apart from your cost to go to immigration to file it

even if you don't want to do it yourself it's only 500 baht in most places for an agent to do it. Once it's been done once, you can usually do it online anyway.

it cannot be done online, the first time after coming back into Thailand. It has to be done at the relevant Immigration office.

For DTV holders, it can only be done online if the 180 day stamp is extended. Meaning the first 90 days after the extension could be done online.

But hardly any DTV holders are trying to extend their 180 stamps at immigration because it’s just too much hassle, and as much if not more work than the original application required.
