Is it necessary to do 90-day reporting if leaving Thailand just two days after the due date?

Hi all, I already have a DTV visa and I am about to leave Thailand for a trip. My departure from Thailand is going to be 2 days after my 90 day reporting is due. Is it really necessary for me to do the 90 day reporting if I will leave the country 2 days after? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus is that you should complete your 90-day reporting even if you are leaving Thailand two days after the due date. It is a quick and free process that can be done up to 15 days in advance of the due date. Ignoring the requirement could lead to future complications with immigration, including potential penalties or issues when obtaining visas or documents in the future. It's advisable to stay compliant to avoid any unnecessary risks.

90 days report is free and easy to do... You can do it in advance. Penalty may apply the next time you would need documents from immigration. Why not doing it?

It is free and quick to do in my experience, and you can do it a few days early. While there is a grace period of a few days to actually do the report it’s probably unwise not to do it at all.

the grace period is only for filing the report. There is no grace period for the 90 days. If you are inside Thailand for 90 consecutive days (including the day of entry) you are legally obliged to report

Why risk it when they already are being all extra cautious with dtv and tourists etc.

Have friend sent back 3x for letters and then a page bend in passport etc.

Just stay 100% in line and under radar.

If I was on my B or O in the OPs situation I would probably not bother with the 90 day. However, the DTV seems attracting more attention from certain IO. I would be crossing all the T's and dotting all the I's
