90 days report can be done from 76-97th day of your stay. What if I leave on 91-96th day of my stay? Do I still have to report?

TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, you are required to report your stay every 90 days. This report can be made anytime between the 76th and 97th day of your stay. If you leave the country on the 91st to 96th day of your stay, you are still considered to be within your 90 days and therefore must complete the report before leaving. Failure to do so could result in a fine upon your next entry into Thailand or during future visits to the immigration office.

I was wondering the same.. You are in a grace period of those 7 days when they cannot fine you.. so theoretically you should have no problem leaving the country as the fact of "leaving" is kinda like the reporting itself... But will they cause you trouble next time on immigration? Even tho it reset when you exited and you got a new stamp.. so, you should be fine.. but we are talking about Thailand.. it probably depends on the weather and the Officer mood that day 😃 In any case, the worst that could happen is that you will have to pay some fine... I don't think you would get into any serious trouble for this.

The grace period is for reporting it's not for skipping the reporting. It's called 90 report for a reason. It's not called the 75-97 day report.

It takes me about a minute to do the 90 days in Chiang Mai, I really don't know why it's always such a problem.

it took 2 hours waiting in Bangkok a year ago...

And it takes 1 hour to get there and 1 hour to get back...

I wouldn’t bother personally. Why would you register address just before you leave not even the Thais will see the logic in that.

It is not about what you see as logical, rules are simple.

Normally you will not get problems with IO at the border, but when needing something at an immigration office.

There they might charge you the fine

No- if you leave before and come back it resets your time

But 91 days is more than 90 days, so you have to report. Only if you leave before 90 days you don't have to report. It is simple math I think

you have a 7 day window grace period so your math is off

You have a grace period to report, but when you stay 90 consecutive days you have to report. So 91 means reporting, it is as simple as that, how hard can that be? You can report between anywhere in the window you are allowed to report, but not reporting or reporting after day 97 might result in a fine because you breach the rules.

I did my 90 days on my 91st day so I wouldn’t have to possibly do a third before leaving. It’s not a big deal but in most places it’s fast and free.

There’s always an agent to help if your time is worth more and for most people it is!

I combine mine with other things in that area of town so it doesn’t feel like a burden.

YES, you are 90 days inside Thailand and you have to report.

Next time you visit an Immigration Office to make a report, they could fine you 2.000 Thb for not making the report last time.

I SAY COULD, that does not mean that a lucky person got away with a smile, but another did pay 2.000 Thb and got a receipt.

Do not try to use Facebook comments like I did not get fined as proof that the law does not exist for you.

The 90 day report is reporting that you have been in Thailand 90 consecutive days. Now I'm not a math whiz but I think from 91 to 96 is more than 90.

I missed one report because I did border run 1-2days after it was due, i havent had any problems after that, and i have done 2 90day report after that. An agent told me, that leaving the country counts as one, "in a way" because it resets your current location
