90 day reporting; quote "As a general rule, the foreigner must file this report within 15 days before, or within 7 days after, your 90-day period expires."

90 day report is due on 19th of February. I am travelling on 22nd of February. Can I skip 90 day report as I am leaving shortly after i.e. within that 7 day period?

Note: I cannot do online as it's first time reporting.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day report is a requirement for foreigners staying in Thailand, and although there is a grace period for submitting the report, you cannot skip it even if you're leaving the country shortly after your reporting date. It is advised to complete the 90-day report to avoid any issues when returning to Thailand. Several users suggested trying the online reporting option if it's your first time, as it can often be completed in a few days. Failure to report can lead to fines.

You CAN skip it but if you want to come back to Thailand without issues then not advisable. Never a good idea to break a countries immigration rules.

unless you're in the USA, then immigration rules don't apply

immigration rules apply everywhere. They may not be enforced as much as anywhere else but they still apply.

if the 90 day report is not filed on time, there's NO problem with departing or entering Thailand.

It's when you need to file a future 90 day report following return to Thailand, that Thai Immigration will most likely collect the 2,000 Thai baht fine.

The 2,000 Thai baht fine does not increase... So no added penalty for filing later

Agreed. My point is that it’s never a good idea to break a countries immigration rules regardless of the small fine. It may act against you later albeit unlikely. I had a friend who was going to get UK citizenship and they had been out of the country for a few extra days as their mum was seriously I’ll. Caused them no end of issues.

I did my first 90 day report online the pdf. Was issued 4 hours later.

In my experience it's a couple of days, even if it's a weekend. Reports seem to vary from 1-4 days. They're actually pretty reliable.

We did 90 days report online a few days before. It was our first time reporting. Takes about 48 hours to get the approval.

online or app. In the past the first 90 day had to be done at immigration

I think they changed it a few months ago. I saw the information on an expat group. We applied online and were accepted 2 days after. They could accept it or give you an appointment.

yes I’ve been spreading the word that even if first time reporting it’s worth a try

Try the online website not app. I’ve done it successfully after a few try’s, worth a shot!

NO... You were IN THAILAND on the 90th day. Go to your local Thai immigration office and file the 90 day report. Failure to file when it's due is a fine of 2,000 Thai baht

@James *******
what if you leave on the same day your 90 days report is due ??

@Aurélien ********
if you leave Thailand on the 90th day that it was due, You are not in Thailand at the END of the 90th day. NO report required.

Thanks, I'm flying out on day 91 and wasn't going to bother but it only takes 2 minutes at my immigration so will do just in case.

@Gary ********
wise to do it on time. Safe travels 🧳

No. You are in the country for 90 days so you must do the report.
Lloyd ********
You should do the 90 day report, the grace period is for completing the report, not leaving the country.
