TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are late for your 90-day report in Thailand (by more than 7 days), you will be fined 2,000 THB regardless of when you file. Although there is a 7-day grace period after your report is due, the law mandates that the report be filed, and failing to do so can lead to fines later if you interact with immigration services. Some users suggested you might avoid immediate penalties if you leave the country before being caught, but this is not advisable as you could incur a higher fine of 5,000 THB if authorities catch up with you later.
there is no difference if he goes immediately or after few months, fine is the same

That's not about being useful or not, it's about following the law. There is a law with penalties (that are even tougher than the basic THB2000). Whether it's applied or not is the job of immigration, you may or may not be lucky. The report is an easy task and it's free.

Ok... if you are asking according to the law
Filing a 90-day report in Thailand, is mandatory for foreigners staying over 90 days,
Let's say you did not do, and you go to immigration for any reason or services that time you will be in a fine of 2,000 THB.
Again we are talking according to the law.. if it is implemented or not That is not our job, but the authority has the right to do
If caught by authorities without having a report, the fine increases to 5,000 THB...
There is a 7-day grace period after the 90-day period to submit the report without penalty. So you should be having enough time and if you are saying i forget , that is not an excuse
Because we always advise our clients
You have a smart phone and have a calendar
Put that in the calendar 7 days reminder before due
That will allow you 7 before and 7 after.
There is no excuse, unless you don't care the rules ,so if something wrong happened , No need to complain
And kindly... EXPERTS, we don't need you to comment or correct us.. .if you know better than us then that is great, keep your knowledge to yourselves
Where did I say you were wrong? What I have a problem with is the fact that you specifically stated, even if you WERE wrong, you refuse to be corrected and will not listen to anyone trying to give you correct information. That you would rather just continue on giving incorrect information. That's a very ignorant statement to make.
We said that because we have faced too much from people here acting experts even some gave themselves the right to send us private messages with bad words
And because we know we are not wrong.
If our comment from the start was correct thenThere was no need to you to jump in also and comment on that we don't want any one to agrue us
If we were wrong that time you are welcome to say what you want to say... .the.way you talk as well is not ok and not accepted to us ( let me stay stupid..... bla bla bla )
That is not polite and ignorant as well
Last... kindly we are not interested as we said in argue or discussion with anyone as long as we are not wrong with what we said
what is your reason for being so rude and aggressive?
AllSabaai ******
Anonymous participant 525 the reason is
That many of members here were rude and aggressive to us
Even we were give free advices with zero aim of any type of interest or profit.
Many was rude and many think themselves experts and even some gave themselves the right to send us messages attacking and insulting us
And their profile have been reported by the way.
And actually if you go little down to the last comment we wrote you would read the reason.. but here we say it again
Now you know the reason...

You should know the conditions of your visa and it's obligations. You have 14 days before the date and 7 days after or it's a 2000 bht fine. It's not about whether it's useful or not to report to immagration for your 90 days it's a condition of staying in Thailand. Whether you do it or not is up to you and as such you are fined. Don't do it and see what happens

After 7 days late you are fined 2000b no matter how late you are.
If you have no interaction with immigration you maybe won't get caught.
At some point you will need something, resident certificate etc. And you will get caught at some point.
It's not a big deal 2000b maximum fine If and when you get caught.
Id go to immigration and pay the fine if they come looking for you may be steeper mate cause now it looks like you are trying to avoid the rule. Just my humble opinion
In Thailand, the fine for a late 90-day report is typically 2,000 Baht. However, if you're caught by immigration before reporting yourself, the fine increases to 5,000 Baht. Additionally, if you are arrested, there may be an additional fine of 200 Baht per day the report is overdue.
You can do it online. You only have to do the first one after entering the country (i.e. 90 days after entering the country) in person at the immigration office in the province you live. The online registration is easy.
And thai immigration has never gone out and looked for people who failed to do their 90-day report. It's a report you can skip If you don't need to do an extension during your stay.
can you read ? I said a few different places meaning NOT here where immigration will send local police to collect you, like England I know for a fact they send local police for over staying visa. So its not a lie
But if you're not dealing with immigration before you leave the country, you can just skip it

You'll be fined if you try to do it now or later (until here, a fact). But, and this is something not verified by me: If you leave before the 180 day mark (assuming you're a DTVer), and then reenter later, "nothing" will happen. Immigration would still know you didn't file it, and they'll impose a fine IF you ever visit Immigration (not the airport) for any reason. But if you don't, nothing would happen. Again this is not any personal advice, just what I've heard.
yes I would like to know about how accurate this is after re-entering without previously filing 90 days.
As first 90 day report cannot be done online, visiting an immigration office while living in a remote area (island in my case) is difficult. In addition the first and most recent time I filed had to be done at Lak Si while I was traveling and the process was more complicated and stressful than my entire DTV application. I was told different information from different staff that I needed to make a booking for accommodation for various minimum periods. Total shambles.
