If I had to report 90 days 2 days ago but I could not go and can only go today, would I have to pay for the 2 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you were due to report your 90-day stay two days ago but only went today, you should not incur a fine as long as you are within the grace period for reporting. According to the guidelines, you can apply for your 90-day report from 15 days before until 7 days after your due date without penalty. The fine only applies if you are more than 7 days late, with potential fines starting at 2000 baht for delays beyond this period. Immigration offices are typically closed on Saturdays, so it is important to plan your visit accordingly.

Hi Todd, just a quick one on the fine for being over 7 days late. The sign in MTT and indeed on the report receipt states it could be as much as but not exceeding 5000thb

IF you file late, you get a 2000baht fine, no more no less. AND they put the failure to file 2000baht fine stamp in your passport. Like this

Even though I know you can do it up to 7 days after due date without fine, I still wouldn’t do that. Don’t want any kind of ‘black mark’ at all on my record.

There is no "black mark". I know people who do it a week late every time (because your next 90 day report is due from the date you apply and over the year you get a "free month" of time more OR at least that's their reasoning.

Immigrations doesn't care in the least if you get the 2000baht fine for failure to report, it's not a black mark, most people forget or miss the windown and get the fine once :P .

Some people don't even EVER file a 90 day report until they go for their new year extension :O , because the fine is just a straight 2000baht whether you're 8 days late or a year late, they just pay the fine, file one 90 day report, get their new extension and never go back to the immigration office for the rest of the year.

Each year they've been getting the failure to file stamps and paying 2000baht fine for many many years. It doesn't affect you at all. They believe paying the 2000baht fine is cheaper than going to the immigration office every 3 months :)

Well thankfully I’ll be back to online again now...until of course the one after my next extension lol

@Pa**
, that is IF you're arrested for something else and they find out you've failed to file a 90 day report, then the fine can be that much and 200 baht a day from your last 90 day report until you get current too.

this is ripped from the terms of use for the 90 day online program.

Ah I see. Cheers Tod. Just thought I’d mention it in case it was a recent change or something.

@Paul *********
nope, good to mention it. people need to know IF you run amuck for something else and they find out you haven't done your 90 day reporting too you can be liable for more of a fine than the 2000baht

Umm, it's saturday, and most all immigration offices aren't open on Saturday.

Just so you're clear, you can apply for a 90 day report IN PERSON from 15 days before down until 7 days after your actual due date.

Here's an example; IF you're due date is Feb 17th you can apply from Feb 3rd until Feb 24th.

You only get the 2000baht fine if you are 8 days or more late (it's not a day by day fine)
