Are there additional penalties for late 90-day reporting in Thailand beyond the 2000 baht fine?

My husband is late with his 90 day so we will pay the 2,000 baht fine. Is there any secondary penalty if he goes a lot later? ie Can we leave it another week before we do it now.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The main penalty for a late 90-day report in Thailand is a flat 2000 baht fine. There are no additional penalties if the report is submitted late, provided it is done within a reasonable period (typically up to 7 days late). However, if an individual overstays their visa beyond the allowed time (more than 90 days), they could face daily fines of 500 baht, jail time, deportation, and potential blacklisting.

I think we sorted out that
@Che***
's husband can indeed to file their report in a week or so and there will be no additional fines other than the 2000baht failure to file one.

Thanx for the comments, we're done (y)

I know many people who just report once year. The 2,000 baht fine can be cheaper than taxis!

How late ? You get 7 days after the date to report.

If he is late with his 90 days Admitted to Stay period on his Multiple Entry Visa, it is 500 Thb a day fine. If caught with overstay it is jail, court, deportation at own costs and blacklist.

Its just the 90 day reporting we're late with. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks.

The OP state he is late with his 90 day. What 90 day is the question, so I posted both options, late with his 90 day report at Immigration OR late with his 90 day admitted to stay period on a Multiple Entry Visa.

@Robert ******
not for notifications of 90 days?

No extra penalty if you mean the 90 day report at Immigration, even if you do it 1 time a year when you apply for the new Extension of Stay the max fine is 2.000 Thb.

No. It's 2000. Or jail and deportation if caught.

@Sha***
, now now, let's not scare monger :(

there's no jail or deportation for failure to file a 90 day report

The MAXIMUM you can be fined IF you're arrested and prosecuted for failure to have filed a 90 day report is 5K baht and 200baht a day up until you are current on your 90 day reporting. <-And FWIW; I have never ever seen or read of someone getting fined like that.

I'm not going to try!

there’s no deportation for 90 days reporting only fine. It’s overstay if get caught etc. don’t confuse them.
