TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, you can report your 90-day stay up to 7 days late from the due date. However, it is strongly recommended to report on time or even early, as late reporting can incur fines. If reported late, you may face a fine of 2,000 THB if reported after the deadline, and if stopped by police for unrelated reasons, the fine may increase to 5,000 THB. Staying informed and timely is essential to avoid complications with your visa.

You can report 15 days before and 7 days after in you do in person at the immigration office. If you do online you can do 15 before But not after.

Yet another person asking about doing reports late --- where are people's brains, it's not hard to remember or to do --- such a simple task often overlooked by the brain dead
Colin *********

My fault. Happy to pay and put the next date in my calender

might be but this is whats on the imigrations pages.

Immigration fines in Thailand for overstaying a visa depend on the length of the overstay:

Under 90 days

A fine of 500 baht per day, up to a maximum of 20,000 baht. If you pay the fine and leave the country, you can return to Thailand without any issues.

More than 90 days

A 20,000 baht fine and a ban from re-entering Thailand for a period of time. The length of the ban depends on how long you overstayed:

More than 90 days but not exceeding 1 year: A 1-year ban

More than 1 year but not exceeding 3 years: A 3-year ban

More than 3 years but not exceeding 5 years: A 5-year ban

More than 5 years: A 10-year ban

@Olav ********
overstay and 90 day reporting are two different things

The penalty for failing to report your 90-day stay in Thailand on time is a fine of 2,000 Thai baht (THB):

Late reporting: If you report after the deadline, you'll be fined 2,000 THB.

Caught by police: If you're pulled over by the police for an unrelated reason and they find out you didn't file your report, the fine increases to 5,000 THB.

Daily fine: You may also be fined up to 200 THB per day until you comply with the law.

You can report your stay up to 15 days before or 7 days after the due date. You can report in person or by registered mail.

Here are some other things to know about the 90-day reporting requirement:

The 90-day clock restarts if you leave Thailand, regardless of how long your trip is.

The 90-day reporting requirement is not the same as a visa extension.

Frequent or blatant breaches of the 90-day reporting requirement may affect future visa renewals or extensions.

Children living with you don't need to report if you do, but they should start reporting themselves when they turn 15.

To report your stay, you'll need:

Your valid passport

Photocopies of relevant passport pages

A completed and signed 90-Day Report Notification form (TM.47)

A photocopy of your arrival/departure card (TM.6)

A copy of your previous 90-day slip (if you had one)

A self-addressed envelope and 10 THB postage stamp if applying by registered mail

@Olav ********
mostly rubbish, 2000B full stop.
Pierre ********
Hope I am asking correctly. This time !!

French passport

Here 3 times

Bangkok

Want to live here

Easier to ask you all

Do I need a visa as I have French passport

If not. Can I stay over 6o months to make sure I like living here
Christopher *************
@Pierre *******
I think you mean days
Charles ********
Well, technically about 1.8 x 10^12 days. Without fine though, it's 7 days. If you don't need anything from immigration before your next exit, you can sort of just ignore it.
John **************
Recommend doing it early. Why procrastinate?
all ************************
7days
Linda ******
Why wanna be late n which might jeopardise your visa or etc ? you know way in advance on the date of reporting
Graham ******
@Linda *****
it's a 2000B fine, no other sanction

Never be late but you have an option to go 15 days before the 90 days expire
Stuart ***********
@Sergio ********
do it online 15 days before also.
Simon ************
@Stuart **********
How do I 90day report online? 🙏
Stuart ***********
@Simon ***********
it is really easy, just set up an account online and submit your information here:

*******************************************
Ɓukasz *********
@Stuart **********
But it won’t find your passport if you didn’t do it before in person or by mail.
Stuart ***********
@Ɓukasz ********
yes, anecdotally I think that is true, although I did my first report online (but that was over 2 years ago). I would still try it as there's nothing to lose if you do it online 14 days before the due date. If it gets rejected there is plenty of time to go in person.
Ɓukasz *********
@Stuart **********
Yeh, I tried it and it said it couldn’t find my passport. I think you were able to do it because of COVID.
Sergio *********
@Stuart **********
yes also 👍
Darren *******
How soon can you get it done on the year date
Henrik *****
You should never be late dealing with immigration.
Rolf *********
@Henrik ****
can you clear something out for me please. There’s no 90 day update on a tourist visa, since you leave before 90 days and return on a new visa, correct?🙏
Gardar ***************************
@Rolf ********
correct no report if you enter on visa extempt or tourist visa. Since you go out the country before the 90 days is up, but when you return don't forget where you live have to send new report at you staying there
Rolf *********
@Gardar **************************
yes, I made that mistake once. I will go directly to immigration and register my residency. Thanks 🙏
Gardar ***************************
@Rolf ********
you welcome đŸ€—

Thomas **********
@Graham *****

Graham ******
@Thomas *********
Online reporting is now only from day 15 to day 8 before the due date, you have never been able to report late online (unless you get lucky)
Jayne *******
7 days after the due date.
