Good afternoon! Have arrived on a Non O retirement visa and planning to do extension. My appointment is Monday early morning. Is it ok to have the bank approval letter from a few days earlier? (This is my first time) ππ½ for any info.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An individual on a Non O retirement visa is inquiring if a bank approval letter dated a few days prior to their extension appointment is acceptable. Responses indicate that rules may vary by immigration office, with some offices allowing letters up to 7 days old, provided the bank book is updated on application day, while others require the bank letter to be current on the same day of the application.

he said he is using Chaengwattana which is 7 days or less for the bank letter, and he's getting an extension based on retirement so there is no Kor Ror 2 amphur certificate involved

That's totally depending on the immigration office you use. In Bangkok you can have the bank letter up to 7 days old BUT you need to update your bank book the day you apply for the extension.
I used the Kasikorn bank branch at the basement just a week ago when I did my yearly extension.
So definitely business as usual.
However keep in mind that the queue to issue the letter can take quite some time (could be any number of people before you, and those counters are for lengthy bank stuff). For peace of mind come early enough before your appointment.
I needed to use this branch on the day itself, because I use a fixed deposit account. Thus I can't use ATM update - unless it's on the same date of a auto-renewal of a fixed deposit.
there is no need to get the bank letter the same day you are applying for an extension at Chaengwattana because they accept a letter up to 7 days old (I know this for a fact)
AND
The banks in the basement don't open until the same time the immigration office does. SO you can't get in line for immigrations early, THEN go get a bank letter.. π
AND I'd never go on a monday without an appointment because it's a mad house there usually on mondays and fridays
