TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus is that most immigration offices in Thailand allow the bank letter required for a retirement visa extension to be dated up to 7 days in advance. However, it is essential to ensure that your bank book is updated on the day of application. Some offices may require the bank letter to be dated on the actual day you apply, so it's wise to check with your specific immigration office ahead of time. Additionally, they typically review the bank account history to ensure the funds have been present for at least three months.

I don't know where you found them, but it's incorrect information. At lesat it's not the one on the police order (basic reqirement) Unless the local office specifically states them.

thanks, there is also a stipulation, how long it has to be present after the extension is issued, again I have heard it's 3 months. There is always the risk that these changes and of course they do not tell anyone till it's too late. Personally i do not take the risk.

MOST offices allow the bank letter to be dated up to 7 days early

BUT

you need to update the bank book on the day you apply for the extension

There are a few immigration offices that require the bank letter to be dated the day you go, you really should check with your office well before you go for the extension
