Hi, I will be renewing my Non-Imm O next month. Regarding the Banking information required, do you know if getting the proof of funds at the bank the day before going to CW is okay? And then update the bank book on the day of application at CW.

Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the timing for obtaining proof of funds for their Non-Immigrant O visa renewal. A commenter clarified that a 'standard' bank letter and an annual transaction report are necessary, and these documents are valid for up to 7 days. It was also advised to check with the bank regarding the issuance time for the transaction report, as some banks may take 3-5 days. Updating the bank book on the application day is acceptable.

You need to get the 'standard' bank letter and a print out of the year transaction detail report.

They can be used at C/W up to 7 days after their issued.

Check with your bank because some banks take 3-5 days to print that year transaction report

And yes, update your bank book the day you apply for the year extension

in Ubon Ratchathani, Sirindhorn they require the bank letter updated and printed the same day and copies of the bank book printout.

that's tough meaning you can't GO to the immigration office until after you go to the bank to get the letter first 🙁

Same here (Sakon Nakhon). The IO refused my documents when I applied (1st timer) and when she told me to come back the next day she added “and don’t forget to bring a new bank letter”.

I was at Kasikorn the next day and the girl at the bank smiled when she saw me and said “They didn’t accept your documents yesterday?”.

They all know how it works…

I guess people who use immigration offices who accept the bank letter and yearly statement up to 7 days after they're issued have it easy then 😕

Coincidental (*) we stayed with one of her former colleagues yesterday and he told me the lady at IO is always friendly and helpful (to which I can witness) but those are the rules they use.

(*) coincidental- we went to evaluate one of the houses our prospective builder made and spent half the day with an uncle of the new owner. He turned out to be retired immigration officer.
