What should I do if my bank letter is 7 days old before renewing my Non-Immigrant O Long Stay visa in Thailand?

Hi. I have a quick question at the end of this, but thought I'd share a quick message from my trip to Immigration yesterday (Friday) to renew my Non Immigrant O Long Stay visa (retirement visa). I've done this twice before, successfully, but ran into a wall yesterday. Thought I had everything I needed, you know the list. I got the bank letter from Bangkok Bank, Silom, the day before (Thursday) and asked them to update my bank book. That turned out to be the problem. I hadn't updated it since last May, and at the bank they only included transactions from Feb 2021 to now. Seeing the three new pages of updates, I didn't really check the dates. I "assumed" the bank book now had all of them since the last time I did an update. Yes, everything else was in order but because the bank book had "a gap" with no printed transactions from May 1, 2020 to the end of January 2021, I was denied (even though my balance has never fallen below the 800k requirement). I tried downstairs to get a full-year print out but, unlike many other banks who will do this the same day, Bangkok Bank said it would take 3-5 working days. My visa is up on May 4th. May 3 and 4 are bank holidays. Time is not on my side. I screamed on the motorbike back to the Silom branch and basically wouldn't leave until they agreed to try and get me a printout (after many times of "I'm sorry sir, can not").. Anyways, I got the print out at about 5pm. So, remember that, regardless of any other statements, ATM receipts the same day, etc,, it seems we need ALL the transactions of the last year as part of what we submit. Now my question: I will return to Chaeng Watana on Wednesday morning, one day late but the immigration lady said no late fee because of the holiday closure. But now my bank letter will be exactly 7 days old. I've read its good for 3 days, 7 days, 2 days, 4 days. Any idea? And if I need another one, does anyone know if the Bangkok Bank downstairs at Chaeng Watana will issue one? I could go to Silom branch before i go to immigration but it would be cutting it close as I really need to be back to downtown by 2pm.

Whatcha think? And thanks for listening : )

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user experiences difficulties renewing their Non-Immigrant O Long Stay (retirement) visa due to an incomplete bank book update from their bank. They inquire about the validity period of their bank letter, which will be 7 days old by their next visit to immigration, and whether the Bangkok Bank at Chaeng Watana can issue a new letter.

@Rob***
, most banks have been updating bank books with "transaction summaries" (money in/money out, balance) for a good long while

people have been needing the year detail transaction history for almost over a year now to show they met the proof of seasoning.

No bank I am aware of can print the whole year on demand. They can print 6 months of it for you but it takes 3-5 days to get the other 6 months.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for the comments : ) But does anyone know if the Bangkok Bank downstairs at CW can issue the bank letter? It's not my "home bank", but neither is the central Silom branch where I normally get it.

@Robert *****
they'll issue that letter no problem.

Why not going to CW on Monday????

Because Tues is a holiday, I would not be charged 500 baht for one day overstay.

@Robert *****
the fine for the overstay will be waived but you will get the stamp saying overstay. fine being waived doesn't mean you are not on verstay.

@Ellie ******
Could do, but have pretty important previous appointments in town both in the morning and the afternoon.

@Robert *****
up to you, if it's me, I would cancel the appointment and go on Monday even if I can not make an appointment and I have to wait there the whole day rather than going on Wednesday to be on overstay.

immigration offices are open.

It's bank holiday but not government holiday

Just a reminder, the OP is using Chaeng Watana ("Bangkok") immigration to extend an extension of stay based on retirement. What happens at other immigration offices, or other visas, isn't relevant.
