TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing a Retirement Visa Extension at the Pattaya immigration office, the bank letter proving the required 800,000 THB must typically be issued on the same day of your appointment. However, policies may vary between different immigration offices, so it's wise to check with local resources or a community group for the most current requirements.

Different immigration offices have different polices about the requirement for the bank letter and bank book. I understand that Pattaya requires the bank letter must be some day, along with the bank book. However, you can post in a Pattaya related Facebook group for more up-to-date information.
I'm removing all the comments that does not give the immigration office's location, to prevent confusion.
