How does the re entry work for the DTV?

Apologies if this has been asked before, or if it's a dumb question - I'm new to applying for visas.

For example:

- Within the first 180 days, if I've been in Thailand 2 months, then travel to the Phillipines for 1 week to 1 month, then return to Thailand - does the 180 days reset, or continue on after returning, or count from my first entry to Thailand?

- how long before you can re enter after the 180 days?

- any other experience with re entry

Thanks!
Answer summary
The re-entry process for the DTV (Digital Nomad Tourist Visa) in Thailand works by resetting the 180-day stay every time you leave and re-enter the country. You can travel outside Thailand and return, and at each entry, you will be granted a new 180-day stamp, regardless of how long you were away. There is no minimum time required away before you can re-enter, and there is no need for a re-entry permit, which is required for other visa types. This allows for flexibility and extended stays within the 5-year validity of the DTV.

You exit the country and enter again, that’s how re entry works. Each time you get 180 days

You're over thinking it. Every time you leave and enter again the 180 days restarts. there is no amount of time you have to stay away before you enter again.

and you didn't ask, but just to clarify, you do not need a re-entry permit, like you do on other visa types.

Simply read /search previous posts in the group, then there will be no need to ask the same questions again and again.

No need to ask at all. He already knows. He’s having a laugh by provoking exasperated responses.

You can re-enter right away. Some people have literally crossed the border into Laos and back into Thailand. within and hour. This is the situation as it stands today. The 180 days resets. You get 180 days each entry.

Every time you enter Thailand you will be stamped in for 180 days.

The DTV visa is a multiple entry tourist visa valid for 5 years from it's date of issue.

Suggest you have with you a copy of the DTV visa application with supporting documents you submitted to the Thai Embassy or Consulate using the Evisa online application system.

Only show if asked by Thai Immigration Officer. (Rarely asked... BUT good to have them with you)
