Hi everyone! I have a question.

I will be moving to Thailand in November.

But will entry the country and stay for a week or so in September.

Is it possible for me to apply now for my DTV (for November) and enter in September just with my tourist visa, even if the DTV of November is approved?

Answer summary

The user plans to move to Thailand in November and wants to know if they can apply for a DTV now while entering on a tourist visa in September. Comments indicate that the DTV would only be valid from the date of issue.

I was unsure because of the lenght of stay… as they ask when applying the estimated lenght of stay…I was wondering if entering and exiting the country for that short of a time can be a problem. Dont know if my doubt makes sense… is it a problem if you come and get out of Thailand often while being on a DTV? I am a travel journalist and will probably have periods of many trips in and outside the country.
