TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on experiences with Thailand's multiple entry e-visa, which allows holders to stay for 60 days at a time within a 6-month period. Participants share their experiences, ranging from having no issues entering and exiting Thailand on a METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) to concerns about increased scrutiny from immigration if returning soon. One individual noted the ease of exiting to Malaysia and returning the next day without problems, while another warned about potential interrogation for those who might be perceived as overstaying their tourist status.
All good i never had any issues exting and entering on my metv,i go to Malaysia and xime bsck next day, just make sure you have printed out evisa,i even had to tell immigration at phuket airport its a 60 day visa ,she had no clue🤣🤣
what is the 60day visa, my understanding was it is 60days visa exemption. Visas are i.e DTV, Elite etc. Only speaking as US passport holder. Please correct me.

A tourist means if you are admitted to Thailand, you will receive a 60 day stamp based on your visa. There are recent reports of people being pulled out of line after entering on a METV and then leaving and returning and interrogated about why they are returning so soon as a tourist. Tourist entries (whether they are visas, or visa exempt) are not intended for long-term living in Thailand.
a visa does not guarantee you entry into a country. A visa just dictates how many days you'll receive if you're allowed to enter. Entry is at the discretion of the immigration officer, same as every country.
