How many days of visa-free stay are allowed in Thailand for Indian and American citizens?
Answer summary
As of the current regulations, both Indian and American citizens are allowed a visa-free stay of 60 days in Thailand. However, this is set to change: American citizens will soon be allowed a 30-day visa-exempt entry, while Indian citizens will no longer be eligible for visa exemption and will have to obtain a Visa on Arrival for a maximum of 15 days, costing 2,000 Baht, along with a requirement to show proof of at least 20,000 Baht in cash.

Well when its put in the gazette the usa get 30 days free visa on arrival, and unlucky india you do not get you have to pay 2000 baht for a 15 day visa
Currently it is a 60-days stay permit for both on a visa-exempt entry.
After the change got implemented, the visa-exempt will give 30-days admitted stay for Americans
Citizens of India will be removed from the visa-exemption list and will have to either apply for a tourist visa, or buy a Visa-on-Arrival for a 15-days admitted stay for 2000 Baht at the airport
Currently 60 days each, until they publish the roll back to the old regulations are published in the Royal Gazette giving two week notification for the law to take effect. Then it will be 30 days for US and visa on arrival for Indians.
