I just got my first 90 day retirement stamp. The immigration gal was busy and just said I can renew after 45 days. Do I go to online reporting at this point? Thx

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user received their first 90-day retirement stamp and was advised by an immigration officer to renew it after 45 days. However, community responses clarify that this stamp is not for 90-day reporting but rather an arrival stamp. They suggest the user needs to make a 90-day report in person within the specified timeframe and that they should check with their local immigration office for the required documentation for a 12-month extension, applicable when there are 45 days or less left on the current stamp.

Philippines or Cambodia renew every 12 months no reporting BS and can leave the country and return without reporting Thailand needs to stream line the process

The next thing you need to do is go to immigration and get their requirements for a 12 month extension then when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp you apply for a 12 month of extension of stay. When you get that extension they'll put a slip of paper in your passport with the date you have to do a 90 day report

thanks, any idea what documents I might need on this next visit?

best to visit your local immigration office and ask them. Every office can be slightly different

Yeah. That’s not a 90 stamp. That’s just immigration arrival stamp. You then have to do your 90 day report 15 days before 29 December. You can try online and if that fails off you go to stand around at an immigration office.

@Steve ******
thats totally wrong. He has a 90 day Non O based on retirement. He doesn't do a 90 day report until he is almost 90 days into his extension.
Steve *******
@Frank *********
you can do it online 15 day before the end of the extension
Brandon ************
@Steve ******
he wouldn't be able to do it online anyways. The first one must be done in person. But he isn't required to do it at all because he's not on the extension yet
Steve *******
@Brandon ***********
sorry. Forgot about the “1st in person”. You’re right.
Frank **********
@Steve ******
you are missing the point he is on a Non O Visa. He doesn't do a 90 day report until he gets his one year extension.
Windy *******
That's definitely not a stamp

for 90 days reporting.

@Windy ******
No one said it was!

No that visa only allows you to “stay” for 90 days. When you get your first year extension they’ll usually put a slip of paper in your passport to inform you of when your first 90 day report is due.

Generally the first one must be done in person and then you can use the online system.

During this “stay” they’d need to open a bank account and deposit the required funds 2 months prior to applying for the year extension, correct sir?
Stuart *********
@David ***
They would have needed to have the bank account to get the visa
David ****
@Stuart ********
Yes but are they required to have the required funds for the first year extension or can they show a foreign bank statement?
Graham ******
@David ***
the funds were needed for the 90 day Non-O and will be required to be seasoned for the 12 month extension
Chris *******
@David ***
money had to be in a thai bank 60 days for the 1yr extension.

ok, so do i need more documentation, or just show up? Thanks.

@Linhof ********
For the extension you’ll need pretty much the exact same you needed for the O visa. For the first 90 day report it will be dependent on your office.

best to go to the immigration office and ask them for their handout of requirements for the 1-year extension. That way your can be sure you got everything and get it done in one trip.
