Question on the online 90 day report. The first time I did it, it had to be in person. Since then, online has worked great. Just got my second year extension (O, retirement). Should I expect I need to do my next 90 day report in person or should the online report work okay (i.e. does it reset to needing an initial in-person submission with the new extension).

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is inquiring whether their method for submitting the 90-day report will change due to their recent retirement visa extension. Previous reports suggested that after obtaining a new extension, in-person reporting might be necessary even though online submission had previously worked fine. Responses indicate that in Bangkok, it is common for the online system to fail due to database updates, requiring an in-person visit before online submissions can resume. Another suggestion is the possibility of submitting the report via registered mail.

Can do this with registered mail, is very simple and cheap, send the documents 15 before the last day of 90 days report. I had the same problem with mine after the new extension last November
That's the question no one can answer with any degree of certainty. It seems at least in bangkok, when you get a new extension for some reason they aren't updating the 90 day reporting data base and the online won't work until you go file one 90 day report in person.
BUT
I would still try it online FIRST and see. If you can get it to go to "Pending" status it'll work. IF you get the error prompt when you enter the CAPTCHA number you need to go file in person.
