TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have a one-year retirement visa in Thailand and are living in Phuket, you can complete your 90-day reporting online. It's advised to submit your report 48 hours before the due date to receive a confirmation email. You can attempt your first report online up to 15 days before it’s due, with the option to submit it in person within 7 days if the online submission does not work. Make sure to have a TM30 registration and necessary documents ready, such as your rental contract or blue book. Many expats have found the online process straightforward and receive reminders for their due dates.

Anyone get a retirement visa without the 800k stashed in Thai bank or the monthly deposits?

Any resources?

Asking for a friend. Lol

@JP ******
with an agent you can

not for long , the money has to be in Ur account for a set time now and an agent deposits money for one min then withdraws it.

For a year visa on retirement over 50s , 3 months prior and 2 months after in Ur account OR 65k a month shown coming in.

A renewal is anything between 7-15k depending who U go with.

@JP ******
no anyone who says they did , without using an agent , is a liar.

Unless based on 65k a month going in , accounts for it ???

maybe I have to find a teaching job for a while. Visa runs are boring, expensive and always a “?”

I’ve got 5 years before retirement funds. (Hopefully)

Thanks.

education visa , learn Thai and get a visa.

@Darren *****
yes, I have not talked to an agent yet.

Anyone reliable/track record of success in Udon Thani

Area?

I'm in korat and very simple here , 1900b but I have the funds.

Initial visa agents want about 28-30k to use their money.

BUT.. I recently heard it needs to be in Ur Thai bkk bank for 3 months prior and 2 months after U get a visa.

I guess to stop people borrowing it from friends or agents who put it in Ur bank for 1 min then draw it back and the bank ok it.

I use the 65k per month method. Much easier and money not tied up

@Steve *******
thanks. I’m in that weird period where I can’t (shouldn’t) draw retirement and don’t have a ton of cash to throw around.

You can try to do your first report online up to 15 days before the due date and if it is not accepred you have until 7 days after the due date to do it in person. Some provinces allow the first report online, some don't but there's nothing lost in trying.
David ***********
Yes very easy on line, do it 48 before you will get a confirmation by email to inform you they have received it, then wait 24 hours and you will get your 90 day then print it off and put it in your passport
