Hi

I need to renew a 30 day tourist visa where do I go in Laos please and how long does it take,I'd like to fly but I'm told there's a bus or mini bus.

Maybe get a sixty day what do I need can I get a visa for Laos on arrival

Thanks Robert I have flown in twice I just need one 30 day to take me on till I go to Vietnam and will get another when I fly back

Malcolm, then you don't need to leave the Country.

Your 30 day "visa exempt" stamp can be extended by 30 days just going before stamp expiry date to any Immigration office..

Fill the form, bring 1 photo, passport copies (frontpage, page with stamp, departure card), 1.900 baht.

You can only get two Visa Exempt Entry stamps (what you call a 30 day tourist visa) a calendar year from border check points. If you like to get the 60 day Tourist Visa the best option is to visit a Thai Embassy or Consulate in Laos, bring in day one morning, pick up next working day afternoon.

From Chiang mai you can border bounce from Mai Sai, but bring 10 USD for Myanmar temporary permit.

Or if you really want to go to Laos you can go to Chiang Rai and take slow boat to Luang Prabang
