Can I get a 90-day visa by traveling to Laos after extending my 30-day visa exemption in Thailand?

Hello...I hope someone can give me advise?

I've a 30 day Visa exeption extended to 60 days. Can I go Laos to get a 90 day Visa of any sort now or any other plan to be recommended. I have been travelling to Thailand in the past but obtaining a 12 month retirement Visa. This is the first time I'm travelling like this.
