Can I obtain a 60 or 90-day visa at a Thai Embassy in Laos after completing border runs?

Hello, I have completed my 2 border runs(Visa exempt stamp), have last immigration extention(I think?) n August. I need to hang on until October. So can I go to a Thai embassy in say Laos, or one that does not require a booking, and obtain a 60(or even 90 day?) day Visa there? I have been told I can do this ...any advise pls๐Ÿ™
