I applied in KL after I got deported while trying to enter again in tourist visa.

I have everything they asked for but no 6 month rent contract, since I’m not in the country.

I have more than enough funds and retourning salary of 100k baht + per month.

Any advise how I can proof the rental contract without entering the country?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to provide proof of a rental contract for a Thai visa application after being deported while trying to enter Thailand on a tourist visa. They have sufficient funds and a high returning salary but are concerned about not having a 6-month rental contract since they are currently outside the country. Commenters discuss the difference between deportation and denial of entry, suggest alternatives like booking a long-term hotel or Airbnb, and recommend applying for the visa in countries that do not require a rental contract.

If you are not sure, I think you should go to an embassy that does not require the lease contract. Like Jakarta just next to you.

You have to stay in the country, where you applied for DTV, until it is granted or rejected.

So I try to enter on tourist visa, after a visa run, but I did this often in the last 2 years. But never overstayed or something.

They even put me in the airport jail it was crazy, great me like a criminal, meanwhile I’m actually a professional from Germany, with no sort of crime history.

Forced me to go back to Malaysia and even they don’t want to let me in and nearly forced me to buy a ticket back to Germany.

It took me a lot of discuss and proves to let me in.

I don’t know what happened, why they treat me so hard.

On my entery stamp in Malaysia is sayd above: deported

they considered you have been abusing the system of visa exemption. But normally the last times you tried to enter they already warned you, didn’t they?

I think it should be ok if you enter with DTV and it should not impact your capacity to apply for it.

Malaysia right

Is it your Malaysia stamp or your Thailand stamp that says “deported”

You don’t need a rental contract …

I never seen a requirement to have a rental agreement in Thailand. You are in another country when you apply got DTV. You get your accomodation when your approved and enter. Just submit without if they ask later book a night

Malaysia and Japan requires rental agreements in Thailand. Vast majority of embassies do not require it. Malaysia requires 6 months.

Depends where you are applying. Some embassies have different requirements.

I had a similar situation, denied entry and ‘deported’. Didn’t have any issue getting a DTV or getting into Thailand after I recieved my visa, hope that helps. Also you may be able to book a hotel for proof of stay and mention you will find long term accommodation once you have arrived

You didn't get deported 🙁

To be deported you have to have been stamped IN to thailand

You didn't even get IN to thailand so all you got was denied entry

Sounds like you just were trying to milk another 60 day free entry on the visa exempt program and they wouldn't let you in.

Happens to THOUSANDS of people per week.

Doesn't affect you getting a visa.

Make a hotel booking for 6 months and after the visa is approved cancel it

it's not salary it's 500K baht or the equivalent in a bank account for proof of funds

@Tod ********
can you really make a hotel booking for 6 months? Most booking platforms I know will set a limit of two months. He could however split 6 months up between three different hotels, each fro 2 months

Why Malaysia. There are other places that do not require a rental contract in Thailand. Hope that there are no immigration System remarks on your record. Might attract attention

You didn't get deported, but most likely where denied entry. It's not the same. As for that requirement, it's well known that's asked for DTV applications in Malaysia, so you need to either comply with it if applying there, or else apply at other country, not Malaysia.

Did you actually get deported or refused entry?

Make a 6 month hotel booking
Andreas *********
@John ******
you can't book a hotel or resort for longer than 2 months, at least not on the booking platforms

@Andreas ********
you just make multiple bookings and provide them all

There were many posts about Rental or address in Thailand. Try this keyword in search box ‘rent’ or ‘rental’. Make sure to know why you were denied for entry on tourist visa, that might be an issue to get rejected even with DTV.

You got deported from thailand once?
Kool *******
@Cole ********
what would you call it if he flew in, thinking that would be different, and was denied entry? Wouldn't he also be deported, as he can't stay in the airport?
Elías ********
@Kool ******
is it different here? in most countries you can stay unlimitedly on the airborne side of the airport, if denied entry.

I think he means denied entry

Yeah. That is how I read it. He might now have a remark on his Immigration System record. A pal got one but was allowed in. Told to get a visa next time ie no more visa exempt
