Hi, has anybody recently (feb onwards) been to Vientiane to get a 60 day TR visa?

If so how did you deal with this "Travel itinerary to and from Thailand and accommodation e.g. plane/train/bus ticket, hotel booking, letter from whom you will be staying with and a signed copy of his/her ID"

Specifically the accommodation part. I have a rental contract will this suffice or do I need the owner to sign their ID card copy?

Thanks. UK passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The query is about obtaining a 60-day TR visa from Vientiane, specifically regarding the accommodation proof required. The poster asks if a rental contract is sufficient or if they need their landlord's ID signed. A community response suggests that having a rental agreement might complicate the visa application if the applicant has a history of frequent stays in Thailand, as it could imply non-tourist status.

Does your rental contract not already have a signed copy of your landlord's ID in it?

Just beware if you have a history of being in Thailand a lot recently, your application for visa may be denied as you're not a tourist. Having a rental agreement will work against you in that case as tourists do not have a rental agreement.
