Is having a lease in Phuket a problem when re-entering Thailand on a temporary visa?

Ok, coming back to Thailand from Cambodia, regarding the three proofs to prepare for entry.. When it comes to accommodation, I have my lease in Phuket that is up in May which is when I fly back to the United States. Anyone know if this will be ok?

I am booked to fly to Vietnam 20 days after I enter Thailand this Friday. I have my SHA hotel for 1 night and then my flight to Phuket to stay at my own rented apartment.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned about entering Thailand from Cambodia with a lease in Phuket, which extends beyond their planned return flight to the U.S. There are discussions regarding the proofs needed for entry, particularly accommodation requirements, and whether a lease may raise concerns for immigration officials. Suggestions include booking a refundable hotel or a cheaper accommodation to satisfy entry requirements and avoid scrutiny.

I'd make a booking of a hotel for 60 days (one you can cancel without penalty) and use that.

As people said, a lease isn't something a tourist has

We are booked to fly out of Thailand April 20th, so I thought I would just book the hotel for the 20 days

for thai pass they only ask for sha+ ? I dont recal any other request for other accom?

@David ******
they are talking about being asked for the "3-proofz" at passport control when they stamp in

-20K baht in cash

-proof of onward travel within the days you're stamped in for

-proof of lodging for the time you'll be here

The passport control officers in Bangkok are breaking peoples' balls about those things especially if the person has been IN thailand on covid extensions for any length of time (the longer the time the more scrutiny you get)

I wish we could but SHA hotel is booked in Bangkok and my recently applied Thai pass includes that booking. Flying on Friday.

If people flew in to Phuket, Chiang Mai or even Krabi, they'd skate right thru without any issues

20k baht in cash or currency equivalent

If I was an immigration agent, I'd be asking why a tourist has a lease. I'd also be asking why that lease goes past their flight out of of the country.

If you're worried about being denied entry, I'd either get a refundable booking for a few days after entry and then cancel once you're in, or rent a cheapo ($10 per night) room and just never show up for your reservation.

Are you coming in visa exempt because having a leased apartment screams out long term

yeah, so maybe it's better to book 20 day stay in Bangkok

a couple of days of a booking you can cancel is all you need just tell them waiting to see where can celebrate songkran. Waiting for goverment to say what and where allowed.
