Iโm currently in Thailand on tourist visa, but around Christmas I want to go Singapore for 3-4 days and then come back. Can anyone tell me their experience and how it works?
Thank you ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the process of obtaining a re-entry permit while on a tourist visa in Thailand for the purpose of traveling to Singapore for a few days. It explains that a re-entry permit can be purchased either at an immigration office or at the airport when departing. The comments provide insights on the cost (around 1,000 baht), the function of the permit in preserving visa validity upon re-entry, and alternative options such as using a visa on arrival for returning to Thailand.
Get re entry permit on your current visa while, departure at immigration counter at airport. Ask office that you need re entry permit, they will show the way to it. Before this 1000 Baht for single entry, now not sure. Payment in cash only for that. Second good option to get visa on arrival while coming back from Singapore.
If you needed to get a visa before arrival, then simply request a new one. When you're able to get a visa on arrival, then just go and come back. It will be treated a s new entry with a new date.
I was here on a visa on arrival in September, which gave me 30 days.
Went abroad, came back a week ago, and got a new visa on arrival with 30 days from the latest arrival.
Just bring your ticket from your flight in to Thailand, they register the flight number with you entry.
You can purchase a re-entry permit from your immigration office or at the airport on your way out of the country. It will prevent your stamp from being cancelled when you leave the country, but it will not give you any extra time and your visa entry stamp date will remain the same.
