Hi guys, it would be great if you can help me on visa topic. I plan a trip from Bulgaria (my citizenship) to Phuket with a one-time tourist visa issued by Thai consulate in BG, then plan to leave Phuket, fly to Cambodia and return in Thailand (Bangkok). I read that the cheapest option is to receive re-entry permit while still in Phuket, but I'm a bit confused if this has to happen at the airport, just before flying to Cambodia or at their Immigration office in Panang. Can you please advise?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking for advice on obtaining a re-entry permit for Thailand before departing for Cambodia. They plan to travel from Bulgaria to Phuket on a one-time tourist visa and are unsure if they should acquire the permit at the airport or at the immigration office in Patong. Responses indicate that the re-entry permit can be obtained at an immigration office in Phuket for 1000 baht, which allows for a return to Thailand without losing the original 60-day tourist visa stamp.
Just to be clear, if you get a re-entry permit at a airport you can only get it on the day of travel with a boarding pass. If you get it at a immigration office you can get it any-day you wish.
Okay, when you come into thailand you'd be stamped in for 60 days on the tourist visa. If you are going to Cambodia and going to return within those 60 days you could get a re-entry permit at the immigration office before you fly out for 1000baht.
That wouldn't add any more days to your original stamp of 60 days but when you come back into the country you'd be stamped in until then again.
