TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can obtain a re-entry permit on a tourist visa, but it is important to know that you must apply for it at the main government complex located in Chaengwattana, Bangkok. You will need to fill out a TM8 form and provide a copy of your passport data page, a copy of your last visa or extension stamp, a photo, and a fee of 1,000 baht for a single entry or 3,800 baht for multiple entries. Note that a re-entry permit will only allow you to return to Thailand and stay until the original visa 'admitted until' date.

In Bangkok if you want to apply for a re entry permit off a tourist visa you’d use the main government complex out at Chaengwattana.

You fill out a TM8 form. You need a copy of your passport data page, a copy of your last visa/extension stamp and a photo. 1,000 baht for a single entry or 3,800 baht for a multiple entry. The form is available online or just as easy to fill out in the office.

Off a tourist visa there would be little point in multiple entry.

Some confuse the validity of a visa with the number of days allowed. A tourist visa is valid for 90 days from date issued.

On arrival you’ll be stamped in for 60 days. Most countries can get one extension in country for a further 30 days.

It is possible to get a re-entry permit off a tourist visa but you’d need to work out if that’s worth it for you.

Some nationalities can get a free 30 day visa exempt entry on return to Thailand. Some can pay 2,000 baht and get a visa on arrival for 15 days.

A re-entry permit will only let you back in to the country and stay until the original “admitted until” date you got when you first arrived.

if you get a TR visa in Australia end of June and enter Thailand in August the 60+30 days ( if you extend it) starts in August not June ?? Thanks

the visa is valid for 90 days. It gives you 90 days from issue to enter Thailand. On arrival you get 60 days to stay.

You are already on the visa extension, no you can not come back in on the extension. You can come back in on visa exempt 30 days if your country passport allows that or you need to do a visa run and apply for another TR60 visa before returning.

no 90 day tourist visa , its 60 days<

at airport you get it when you go thru departure area of immigration, its 1,000 baht and does NOT stop you visa when ur gone so if ujr visa ends May 1st even with a re entry permit it ends May 1st

better come back in and receive a visa exempt entry

Is there such a thing as a "90 day sticker tourist visa" ?

Whatever kind of visa you entered on, it should have indicated single or multiple entry...
