Hello everyone,

I am having a 60 days tourist visa (single entry) but would like to go to Malaysia (by land) for a week.

I have just got to Thailand at the beginning of the month.

Yesterday some really helpful members of this group advised me to apply for a reentry permit. Today, I was talking with a travel agency and they told me that there is no other option for me than to apply for a new visa at the thai embassy and that I will lose my actual visa by leaving the country as re entry permits are not an option for tourists..

I am really confused now...

Does anyone has practical experience with that?

My plan was to go to the immigration office of koh samui in order to apply for the re entry permit.

I've had re-entry permit on my tourist visa before (not too long ago) and it works perfectly fine.

I think from the airport it's slightly expensive as they take 200 baht for photo.
