TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the process of obtaining a re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi Airport, highlighting that if you have completed the required form and provided your own photo, the fee can be as low as เธฟ1000. Additionally, comments provide insights into experiences with potential service charges, suggested alternatives, and clarify procedures.
The first booth that says re-entry permit is actually a "disguised" application form and photo taking service. You give her 1,200 baht, she takes your pic, prints the form, gives you back 1,000 baht and a receipt for the 200 baht service fee, and sends you to the back office located 10 meters away. It's misleading but better than before.
You can skip that booth and go to the back office if you bring your application completed from home with your own pic. I learned from own experience by being done for the extra 200 baht, an Indian group of 8 before me had them all done from home.
I had form completed with photo stuck on it and a เธฟ1000 banknote I handed over before the Immigration Officer ๐ฎโโ๏ธ said a word as everybody else did the same.
Most people in the queue in front of me and behind had done the same and been charged the same เธฟ1000. Itโs quite a swift service I waited 10 mins while they checked my form and gave us the stamp. Thank you Tod for all the best proper advice ๐น๐ญ๐ฌ๐ง๐บ๐ธ๐น๐ญ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐ช๐ป๐ดโโ๏ธ๐ดโโ๏ธ๐ดโโ๏ธ
