What documents do I need for my 90-day report if my landlord is overseas?

A couple of months ago, I got a TM30 renting a private residence (using the blue book). When I go back in for my 90 day report, the owner will be overseas. What do I need to bring? Is it the same procedure as another TM30?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If your landlord is overseas when it's time for your 90-day report, you primarily need your passport if a TM30 has already been filed. You can do the report online, or ask your landlord for their TM30 online login if they filed it electronically. If you haven’t moved since the TM30 was submitted and are coming from the same address, only your passport should be sufficient. However, if you've stayed in a hotel during your travels, you should file a new TM30 upon returning to Phuket. Always check the specific requirements of the immigration office you're visiting, as some may have different procedures.

Have you moved from that address at any time?

So why do you need a new TM30?

not having done a 90 day report previously, I wasn’t sure what I needed. I just knew the owner would be overseas so trying to cover all my bases.

The initial TM30 suffices. If you haven't been to another province and stayed at a hotel there's no problem. TM30 can be years old

thx! I was planning a 3-day trip to BKK before my 90 day report was due. Does that mean I have to do a new TM30 when I get back to Phuket?

If you stay at a hotel in Bangkok which requests your passport, then yes you would be advised to get a new TM30 on return to Phuket. I do my best to avoid giving my passport for this reason. Mostly I'm travelling with my woman who uses her Thai ID when checking in

Depends on the office you are going to use. Some don’t care if you have stayed in a hotel or hospital and use a previous TM30 from your main residence.

Some do and you’d a new filed TM30 as staying in a hotel or a hospital will “override” your current filed TM30.

If you’re doing a 90 day report in Phuket you can use the drive through at the Phuket Town office and all you need is your passport. You can also file at the Patong beach office or the Blue tree water park office. Though applying in office they will want you to fill out the top part of the form TM47.

If it’s your first 90 day report then they will also require a copy of your passport and copy of your visa and entry stamp. If you have previously filed and have the slip of paper in your passport or a print out of the previous online report then you won’t need those.

No it doesn’t require a TM30 for a short term extension

This is for Hua Hin Immigration:- To do your 90 day reporting at HH Immigration Office, all you need is your Passport (if there has already been a TM30 lodged). Nothing more.. just your Passport.

You can do several things.

1) if the landlord does the TM.30 online, they can file a new one from anywhere in the world.

2) you can try to ask for the login details and submit it yourself when the time comes. (Most landlords in my experience will happily give the details to submit yourself as it saves them having to do it)

3) If it's done in person instead of online, you can get all the documents filled in and signed now if they're still in the country. (I would suggest making the case for them to sign up online as it will be far easier in the future).

Regardless, so long as you've not moved or left the country since the original TM.30 submission, the original should be sufficient.

I'd bring same TM30. Or do 90 day report online . It's easy
