TM 30 question: when filing / submitting for the very first time, does the landlord have to go to immigration in person, or can the tenant go by herself (with Housemaster & Names of Aliens forms, house registration and landlord ID card signed by landlord) ? (Chiang Mai immigration) Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
When submitting the TM30 form for the first time in Chiang Mai, it's unclear if the landlord must be present. Comments suggest that many tenants have successfully submitted the form on behalf of their landlords with the necessary documentation, such as Housemaster and Names of Aliens forms, house registration, and landlord ID card. However, some users mention that a Power of Attorney might be required in certain cases, particularly in locations like Phuket, indicating varying requirements across regions.

The time I tried to enter a TM30 in Chiang Mai it was refused. Power of Attorney was required. Some few years ago now.

W didn't. Just the form, her tabien baan and the copy of her ID was enough for CNX Imm. We did it just 3 months ago on her behalf. Took not even 10 mins.

We went on behalf of our landlord. She filled in the forms and gave us the signed copies of her tabien baan etc and we took it in for her as she doesn;t drive. Easy peasy.
