Non O Marriage Visa Extension & my wife’s Housebook
Hello everyone,
I was speaking to a friend today about going to apply for the first time a Non O marriage Visa Extension.
He told me that my wife’s house book needed to be updated and less than 2 months old additional to the Kor 2 Marriage certificate which I got last week.
Is it correct my Wife’s Housebook needs to be updated?
It was when the house was bought in January this year.
I was going to go to Thalang Amphur in Phuket in the morning with a power of attorney form to apply for it.
But my wife says you don’t update a house book unless you sell your house.
I hadn’t read about it either, but just want to make sure I have the correct information as this is my first time applying
Appreciate your feedback
Thanks in advance 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry involves whether the house book (which registers residents at an address in Thailand) needs to be updated for a Non O marriage visa extension application. The original poster is uncertain due to conflicting information from friends and their wife about updating the house book. Community feedback confirms that a house book is only updated when there are changes in ownership or residency, such as selling property, rather than requiring an update for a visa application. However, it is recommended to seek a 'yellow book' and a pink ID card, and some users suggest getting one's name added to the house book.

You could not possibly have the Pink Card without the Yellow book. It is the basis for the Pink Card. The same place (the same City Council) issues them.
my husband hadn't got his house book as we live in a different province so gets a printout from the same place as the Kor Ror 2 which needs to be updated each year so this is possibly what your friend is getting confused with. If your wife has her original house book then there is no need.
