I just had an extension of visa using medical certificate (Pregnancy) and was able to get a 90 days stamp. In the next 2 weeks I will be getting my new passport(change of surname to husbands last name) do I need to have my visa extension stamp to be transferred to my new passport?

Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
After getting a new passport due to a surname change, you will need to take both your old and new passports to the immigration office to have your visa extension stamp transferred. Additionally, a letter from the consulate confirming your new passport will also be required.

Yep take BOTH passports to the immigration office and get the extension stamps and the notation you switched passports inside thailand put into the new passport.

You will also need the letter from the consulate that states you got a passport in thailand too.
