Hello, I am on a Thai wife visa and made a new passport. What does immigration require from my embassy to keep my current visa?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are on a Thai wife visa and have obtained a new passport, you will need to take the old passport, the new passport, a letter from your embassy confirming the issuance of the new passport, and a specific form to your immigration office. This is necessary to transfer your current extension of stay and any re-entry permits to your new passport.

However IF you have a year-long "extension of stay" based on marriage to a thai that you got from the immigration office INSIDE the country you take the old passport, the new passport, the letter from your embassy that says you got a new passport inside the country, along with THIS form (and the copies the form says to make) and you go to your immigration office to get the extension stamp (and any re-entry permit) moved to the new passport.

So are you on a "thai wife visa" that you got in your country OR that you got from the immigration office inside thailand?

I got the visa on my own country. Doing 1 year extension for many years so my passport is almost expired. Made a new passport recently. So embassy has to make a paper and I need to keep old passport?
