I have recently applied for a new passport and should receive it any time.
My 1 year retirement visa expires 21/8
Do I need to go to immigration and get visa transferred from old passport to new passport and then renew visa for a further year or can I take both old and new passport and renew visa with required documents straight into new passport?
Thanks again for help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether to transfer their retirement visa from an old passport to a new one before renewing it, or if they can present both passports to renew directly.

Seeing as most offices let you apply for a new year extension when you have 30 days or less you can do the stamp transfer and apply for the yearly extension all at once BUT be ready to have a cranky immigration officer ๐ because of all the "work" they have to do to move the stamps AND give you a year extension stamp in the new passport too ๐
there are more forms to fill in... But it's free. In bkk they didn't complain for me. But it was a different person who first did the movie, i think. Maybe the person who prescreened it. Then the new stamp was added.
