Apologies if covered before

If you get a new passport without leaving Thailand, and are on the retirement extension, what is the process for transferring the visa from your old passport to your new one?

And is there a cost for doing so?

Thank you in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
When you obtain a new passport while in Thailand and hold a retirement extension, you cannot transfer the visa sticker to the new passport. However, you can get the stamps from the yearly extension of stay transferred to the new passport at the immigration office. You may want to check with the specific immigration office you use for any potential costs involved.

Which one of the 70+ immigration offices do you use?

I think they do charge you to move the stamps, BUT just take both passports in with you when you go along with the letter you got from the consulate when you renewed your passport inside the country and they will do it
