Do I need to transfer my DTV stamp from my old passport to my new one when in Thailand?

Hi everyone, I am currently staying in Thailand on a DTV. I just recently renewed my passport and got a new book here in Thailand.

My question is: Do I need to visit the Immigration office to transfer my DTV stamp from the old passport to the new one? If so, what documents are required for the transfer?

Thank you in advance for your help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Thailand on a DTV visa and has renewed their passport. They ask if they need to visit the immigration office to transfer their DTV stamp from the old passport to the new one. Community responses indicate that the transfer is necessary, and it is important to carry both the old and new passports when visiting immigration. The old passport will become invalid, but updates and transfers can be facilitated at the immigration office where they will provide further instructions and necessary forms.

Yake your new and old passport to immagration where you live. They will update your new passport details in the system and a new stamp in your new passport. Old passport in the bin. I think there is a form but they will give it to you there is no fee

YES, your old passport is invalid, you NEED to inform Immigration about your NEW passport, Why do people think you are allowed to walk around in a foreign country without or with invalid passports?

Did they never read the rules when they applied for the passport?

From now on all stamps entering or exiting will be put in your new valid passport. Upon entry you will hand the officer your old and new passports and the print out of your DTV.

From what I've read & seen you have to Carry both Passport's when traveling or re-entering Thailand,

they won't transfer it as different passport numbers etc
