Transferring DTV sticker visa to new passport?

Hi, could I ask for some advice, please? (I read a few posts about transferring stamps, but some of them are quite old, and I didn't see anything about transferring a DTV.)

I just got a new passport, but the DTV sticker visa in my old passport is valid until Nov 2029. Do I need to go to Immigration (for some sort of visa transfer), or can I just show both passports every time I enter Thailand (until Nov 2029)?

Thank you in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV sticker visa cannot be transferred to a new passport. You must carry both your old passport (with the valid visa) and your new passport when entering Thailand until the DTV visa expires in November 2029.

A visa issued by a Thai embassy or consulate cannot be transferred to a new passport. You have to bring both passports until your visa expires to enter Thailand on your visa.

Is that the same for a Retirement Visa? I just got my new passport back from the US Embassy and thought I can transfer my Retirement Visa from my old passport. I just downloaded Form-22 "Transfer Stamp to New Passport" from the Thai Immigration website which I thought is what I needed to submit to Immigration along with the list of other documents required.

, Check your passport to see what you are on now.

If you are still on the entry stamp from the visa (90-days for Non-O for over 50, or up-to-365-days for Non-OA) with an actual visa sticker or eVisa PDF

-> The same as OP, you cannot transfer your visa. Carry both passports until the visa itself expires.

If you have already applied for a 1-year extension at the local immigration office (read the stamp)

-> Different from OP's case, you have to transfer the stamps to your new passport.
