TLDR : Answer Summary
You do not need to show the amount of 500,000 baht per person every time you enter Thailand on a DTV visa. This requirement applies only if you are applying for an extension while in the country.

Some guy is about to comment on here dropping like 10 pics of 1 person saying they got asked to show it. You've been warned lol

This is unclear to me, but I’ve entered 4 times on my DTV now and never been asked to show the 500k baht

No you do not. It is not a requirement of the visa to maintain it. You would if you extended in country. Ignore the people making things up.

So better ignore you? You make things up. It iS a visa requirement, just ask immigration if you don't believe.

the evisa site says last 3 months when you apply. So does the UK embassy. So do the lawyers I use to do my visas. I think you need help. I bet you have no friends because you argue that Monday is Tuesday. I am blocking you now because you are a waste of everyone’s times and energy. I feel sorry for you.

Then show me where evisa mentions 3 months.

You blocking me is fine, your info is completely useless anyway.

Friends like you I don't want anyway, but a bet I won't have friends you would loose.

The fact you need a lawyer to get a simple visa shows very clearly you don't know anything about it, so it might be a wise idea you do not spread your non knowledge here.

you again? Show me where it says you have to maintain the 500k, in the same way it explicitly says so for retirement, marriage visas etc. You cannot. Bye

As I told you, when you don't believe just ask Immigrations office or embassy where you got the visa.

I don't have the slightest illusion I can make you believe this, you just are not smart enough for that.

Even when I tell and show you a thousand times, so I don't spill my time, do it yourself.

The evisa website also uses same wording for DTV financial requirements as for the other visa you mention.

maybe

The I/O has the right to look at any requirement of the visa

Will happen 1 out of 10 most likely

DTV_Begpacker It is a requirement indeed, but I would say chances to get checked are closer to 1 out of 1000 than to 1 out of 10.

you can say 1 out of million

But do you want to be that 1, without the necessary credentials?

Up to you

DTV_Begpacker I certainly don't want to be that 1, I just follow rules and comply to requirements.

I just want to say that far less than 10 percent is checked.

When you say 1 on 10 a lot here will refer to all the people that got in without checks to proove you are wrong.

For me it is clear there are checks, it is the job of IO to check on visa requirements.

DTV_Begpacker That seems strange, as it's not a requirement to maintain the funds after the visa is issued.

you say that

But the one truth in Thai immigration and visa policy is This

It moves at light speed with rule changes…so basically what you knew as a truth on Monday is ancient history on Tuesday

Good luck

DTV_Begpacker what a ridiculous answer. Beyond ridiculous. You are saying something that is factually incorrect and justify it by saying things might change 😂😂😂 you’ll be telling people to ignore that a DTV is multi entry and they shouldn’t return on it next, just in case the rules change. Have a word with yourself

Nope, only if you apply for an extension at the immigration.

Thank you 🙏🏼

Are you referring to an extension after 180 days?

Anonym deltaker Yes, but very few people actually choose to do that. Most simply do a short border bounce instead and receive a new 180 days again upon re-entry.
