Do I need to provide proof of remote work or bank balance when re-entering Thailand on a DTV visa?

If we obtain a DTV visa and leave the country after six months and then re-enter, do they ask for proof of remote work/work documentation?

And do they check whether you have 500,000 baht in your bank account?

TLDR : Answer Summary
In response to concerns about re-entering Thailand on a DTV visa, community members shared mixed experiences. Generally, the likelihood of being asked for proof of remote work or verification of a bank account balance (500,000 baht) upon re-entry appears low. However, there is an acknowledgment that immigration practices may become stricter in the future. Recent reports indicate that while most recent entries have gone smoothly with no questions asked, individual experiences can vary, with some DTV holders encountering questions at certain airports.

Recently, arrivals through BKK and DMK airports have been smooth with no questions asked.

I have seen at least two reports on this group about the DTV holder getting stopped and questioned at the Phuket airport.

Generally they don't, but they can do

You’d be better off asking an immigration agent here.

At the moment: there is no serious check.

In the future: no one here is qualified to tell you what will happen, these are just guesses.

They can ask anything they want and the rules are likely to get a lot stricter but so far no reliable reports of it.
