I need some advice, please.

I'll be arriving BKK on 17 Dec on a Non-Imm Type OA visa, based on retirement.

I will be staying in a rented condo, already booked and deposit paid, in my name, in Hua Hin.

My Question- is it necessary to report my arrival at the Hua Hin Immigation Office at Blueport, within 24 hours with a TM 30 form?

If so, who does the reporting, the landlord or myself?

The landlord tells me that as I have completed the Arrival Card TM 26, showing my address, it is not necessary to submit the TM 30 as my address is shown on the Arriival card TM 26. And, I do my first 90 day reporting 90 days after arrival.

Help! I just don't want to start off on a wrong footing.

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
After arriving in Thailand on a Non-Imm Type OA visa, it is necessary to report your arrival to the Hua Hin Immigration Office within 24 hours using the TM 30 form. This can be done by you personally rather than your landlord, who may have provided incorrect information. It's important to bring your lease agreement and passport when you file the TM 30.

Thank you Tod, Bob and Anders- I had my doubts and I'm pleased I double checked!

Off to Blueport the next morning!

Your land lord is 100% WRONG :(

You can file a TM.30 (alien in residence) form at the satellite immigration office in Blu-port Mall on your own.

Take your lease and your passport and do it within the 24 hours of taking up residence there.

it is not enforced in bangkok AT THIS TIME, but I'd say there's no down side to getting a TM.30 filed on your when you show back up.

I have been reading this thread with interest as going to be in a similar situation come January. I already rent a condo in BKK, when I took out the lease in September I did so on a non imm o visa. The agent registered my details at the IO. When I return in Jan it will be with an OA visa based on retirement. Is there a requirement for the agent to report my arrival back in BKK. Reading previous threads I believe it’s not enforced here.....is that correct? Thanks

I would tell your landlord to file it if not take a copy of your lease and do it yourself

Yes you need to and yes unless you leave the country before 90 days you need to do 90 days reporting. If you leave the country you do not need to do a 90 days but then you need to do another TM30
