I just got my O-A Retirement visa, I arrive next week. I am confused about the TM30 or TM 28, does anyone know which one of these forms I need file after I get here. I had a TM30 filed by my landlord in Novemeber before I has the visa.

Also does anyone know where OI can download the forms, I went through the forms here but could not find it.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
Upon arriving in Thailand with an O-A Retirement visa, if your landlord has already filed a TM30 before your arrival, you only need to update the TM30 receipt at your local immigration office if you return to the same address. If you are moving to a new residence, your new landlord must file a new TM30. It's important to register your address within 24 hours of arrival, and you can inquire whether you can file it online. Different immigration offices may have varied requirements, so it's best to check with your local immigration office for specific instructions.

Arrived today, went to immigration. Had the tm30 filled out, they told me to go next door and get photocopies. 20 baht, went back they filled out a slip of paper and I was done. ๐Ÿ‘

Does both me and my wife need to register a TM 30 each time I'm away from our home for 24+ hours?

I prefer to register myself online is that possible?

Every foreigner needs to be registered within 24 hours after arriving at an address. If your wife is a foreigner the rule is the same for her.

If your land owner, house owner, landlord, house master or who ever has the control of the documents is willing to help you out to register the address for the on line app and hand the username and password to you, you can do yourself.

Based on my OH's experience, check with your local IO. Ours (Phetchaburi) advises that my OH needs both or they could fine him but they won't.

What's an OH?

A new TM30 (or updating the old one) is required every time you enter the country from abroad. Now whether you do it or you land lord files it doesn't matter..

If your landlord has already filed a TM30 and you are returning to the same residence you should only need to get the TM30 receipt updated at immigration. Well at least that is in Chiang Mai. If you are going to a new address your new landlord will need to file a new TM30.
