Hi all, I'm now the proud recipient of the 12 month O-A etc.etc. Visa. I arrive in Thailand on the afternoon 20th June. First night a Hotel in Bangkok, next afternoon travel to Saraburi Province. Girlfriend has arranged an apartment for us in one of the districts, not Saraburi city. My question is...'What do I have to do next?' in terms of reporting to Immigration in the City, reporting after 90 days (from arrival in Thailand or arrival in Saraburi Province?) etc. etc. Sorry, but I'm easily confused and I'm very confused. Robert Lagos has impressed upon this Group that we are guests....I want to stay legal and not have any aggravation. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
After obtaining a 12-month O-A visa, you need to follow a few steps concerning immigration reporting. First, when you arrive in Thailand, ensure your passport is stamped with the correct visa duration. Within 24 hours of moving into your new apartment, you must report your address using the TM30 form, which requires a copy of your passport, the house owner's ID, and the housebook. You should also keep track of your 90-day reporting requirement, which begins from your arrival date. This can be done within 15 days before or after the 90-day mark.

With your kind of visa you get your pasport stamped every time for one year when you cross the border. Even if you cross the border the last day of the validity of your visa. Means you can stay up to two years in thailand with this visa. Don,t forget to buy a re entry after the visa date is expired.

I have been to Saraburi several times. The people are friendly and helpful. Just go visit the immigration office and ask questions

On arrival you will get stamped in for a 1 year period, please check this stamp directly, easier to change there than later at Immigration. After arrival in the apartment you have to report your address using the TM30 form, can be found in the files section and is two pages. This form with copy passport, copy ID card and house book owner you visit, official within 24 hours after arrival Immigration. Second question: You count 90 days from the day you arrived, with arrival date nr 1 and 15 days before till 7 days later from that date you can make this report. Enjoy your stay.

@Rob***
maybe i posted ambiguously, i am aware its not visa related & am aware a farang 'should' register where he is having a shit, should have just said 11 years visiting isaan i have been a bad boy not filing the TM30 registration .

@Mar***
, it is not visa related, all foreigners must be registered. Hotel managers do this and for private address your landlord some times, most of the times the foreigner him/her self. Enforcement depends on Immigration Office, some care, some don't, some very strict.

depending on the immigration office you could be fined 1600 baht for failure to file the TM.30 IF you go to the immigration office for something else and they notice you didn't file one.

Other immigration offices don't care in the least if you or your land lord ever filed one. It's hit or miss and best to check with your immgration office on their policy

@Rob***
out of interest, what if someone doesn't use the TM30 to report where they stay?

Thanks Robert, that's crystal. Much appreciated.

To make the TM30 report you need: 1. Copy id your passport, 2. Copy ID house owner, 3. Copy housebook of owner, 4. TM30 from. The house owner supposed to make this report for you, but if he/she does not want you can take all these papers to Immigration to do it yourself.
