Hi all, I went Chang Watthana today for covid extension. and they asked TM30 form. This is my third time of covid extension. Previously they didn't ask TM30. Also the place I stayed is my friend apartment and they are in oversea. I would like to check about Self Filing of TM-30 BANGKOK ONLY still valid for tourist visa?

Apprecaite for your guidance on this. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the TM30 form usage for a Covid extension during their stay in Thailand and whether self-filing is still an option for those on a tourist visa. They note inconsistency in the TM30 requirements during their previous extensions and mention that they are currently staying in a friend's apartment. Responses clarify that the landlord can file the TM30 online, possibly requiring the user's passport details, and that self-filing is conditional on having a lease in the user's name. The conversation also provides information on online TM30 submission options and varying requirements from different immigration officers.

The TM30 can be submitted online using one of the following three applications, however there are reports of the online system not working correctly:

Online [best option]:

FOR BANGKOK IMMIGRATION ONLY, the TM30 can be self-filed. See this post:

For proof of TM30 being submitted, you'd use one of the following three slips:

DOES BANGKOK IMMIGRATION REQUIRE A TM30?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on the officer.

Under 60 days covid extension, some officer told me to do TM30 report then we go ask at CW office, they said no need.

sometime that happens, doing it on the section 38 application and capture the screen and print it out to show them might be worked.

You can only self-file if you have a lease with your name on it. If you're staying at your friend's I don't think you would have this?

Cannot guarantee, but maybe you can try with a copy of your friend's lease, his signed invitation letter, and his ID/passport, etc.

Thanks. I don’t have the lease. Is there I can do the lease paper without my friend presence ?

@Phyo *********
don't know. You'd need a lease from the property owner most likely

thanks. Can online filing be done and completed by landlord within a day? Or How long will it take to get approve and screenshot?

, usually the id for system would be issued within a few working days max. Once your landlord gets id/password, reporting itself would be in seconds.
