I am staying in Thailand at the moment at my partners mansion room. But the landlord says he doesn't have to do my tm30. Is he correct and where does that leave me?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The landlord is correct that he doesn't have to file the TM30 if you are not on the rental agreement. However, it's crucial for someone, likely your girlfriend as the possessor of the property, to register you to avoid potential fines. The TM30 should be submitted within 48 hours of arrival, and failure to do so could result in an 800 Baht fine. Ensure that the registration is done promptly to avoid any issues with your stay.

The landlord supposed to fill in the first half of the form then you fill in the other part.

They will fine you 800 Baht because you didn't do it immediately

If im.here with tourist via extended 30 days and now 60 days covid emergency. Still need tm30? Or no im here from 2 months now
Jo ****
Very simple to do a tm30 online.

If you don't have to extend your visa you probably won't get caught but you ha been here a week or two so if you go to do the TM 30 they will fine you 800 Baht because you have to do it within 48 hours of your arrival

@Niklaus ******
yea. But the landlord won't do it. I thought it was him who had to do it. Not my other half?

I was told to book a hotel for getting my visa etc and then when I cancel and can go stay with my at my gf condo. Was easier to get the visa. Do I need to do
Benjamin ******
@Ryan *******
booking the hotel isn’t good enough. You’ll need the TM30 submitted
Adam ******
Yes ur gf needs to do it as ur not on the lease.
Michael ********
He is kind of correct, as you are not on his lease. You could edit your gf's rental agreement with your name on it temporarily. Download the APP and do it yourself. Or your gf, who is the Possessor of the property, can do it for you as well. Does not need to be the Landlord.

But as I said I have registered this address on the tm6?

@Sean *******
Maybe check into a cheap hotel for 1 night.

Make sure they register you

Then just use that one

@Sean *******

James ********
As you are not on the rental agreement...the landlord is correct.

@James *******
so how would I register.
Siggi ********
As your bf has a rental contract, he can do the tm 30 for you even he has to do or he is fined.
Longy ****
@Siggi *******
correct. Partner is the 'house master' who can file, they should download the App
Amaël ******
@Sean *******
easiest way would be to book one night in a hotel and have them do it.

@Amaël *****
just to get a receipt that I can show. Would the hotel make a notification of when I left tho?
Amaël ******
@Sean *******
I don't think they notify your leaving, no. Any hotel is mandated to file a TM30 for you, even 200 baht hostels. You don't actually need to sleep there.

And also, will this affect me applying for a 30day extension to my 60day tourist visa?
