Will not receiving a departure stamp affect my re-entry to Thailand?

Lately, both entering and leaving Thailand have been chaos. There have been endless lines. Note—this is also pre-Songkran.

Upon leaving 2 weeks ago. I noticed the e-passport line. No human intervention. You can just enter your passport and photo taken, and the gate opens. You exit Thailand. When I entered, I got the usual 30-day visa stamp. Now, I have exited with no departure stamp. Will this be an issue when I go back to Bangkok in 2 weeks?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user expresses concern about exiting Thailand without a departure stamp after using the e-passport system, questioning if this will create issues upon re-entering Thailand. Comments indicate that there shouldn't be any problems, as entry and exit records are maintained electronically.

Arrived at Suvarnabhumi yesterday. Breezed through. From my plane, through immigration and bags picked up in 15 minutes. Couldn't have been easier.

it’s very hit n miss. I am there every 4 weeks. Some trips I have been the only one in immigration. Plane to bag 10 minutes.

Other times it’s take 1.5hours due to thousands arriving at the same time. Also noting at these times they only open 50% of the booths. Thai logic there. They would know incoming flights in advance.

it is very quick when you are at immigration. It took me less than 5 minutes but 30 minutes to get from the plane to immigration via walking and train. It depends on where the plane lands

No issue. Your entry and exits are saved already to your passport and your biometric data.

the passport chip has your biometric information it doesn’t store entry and exit information. Entry and exit info etc are stored in the immigration computer system

yes. I meant that they are linked together, not that your passport is storing anything. The data in the passport is static and can't be changed. That would be a huge security risk.

Depends on what country you are from. In Australia it is automatically on any renewed passport

Any passport that has a chip in it is an e-passport. It should have a symbol on the cover.

I didn't do anything with mine. It just worked. I would say any country issuing would comply with world guidelines, ensuring all your data was shared with relevant countries.

all the data is already stored in your passport. That's what the chip is for. It reads the chip and compares the biometric information stored there with the camera on the kiosk.

Brandon Thurkettle,, yeah I assumed something like that. It was so easy to exit the country, out in minutes. Just needs similar to arrive. Thanks.
